Visibility is currently around 15–20 ft, based on the latest Scripps Pier camera image and current marine conditions.

The underwater view shows good water clarity with pleasing blue water color. The 4 ft piling on the right is clearly visible with sharp definition. The 11 ft piling on the back right is visible with good clarity. The 14 ft back left pylon is faintly discernible, indicating solid visibility conditions.

Water color is blue with minimal particulate. The WNW swell continues to roll through with organized energy. Wind is light from the west at 5 mph—not strong enough to significantly degrade visibility or create surface chop.

Current tide is 3.6 ft and falling from this morning's high of 4.2 ft. Water temperature remains in the seasonal range of 58-62°F.

Fast-moving particles are minimal, indicating a settled water column rather than active sediment suspension. The 12-second swell period keeps wave energy organized and prevents bottom stirring.

If winds remain light and the swell holds its current pattern, conditions could maintain these good levels through the evening. For now, today earns a solid B rating—good visibility suitable for most recreational diving activities including photography.

Best dive window: now through early evening before potential wind build or light fade.
