Visibility is currently around 12–17 ft, based on the latest Scripps Pier camera image. The 4-foot pilings are clearly visible with moderate surface detail discernible. The 11-foot pilings are visible as faint outlines, becoming progressively hazier with distance. The water shows a greenish-blue tint typical of La Jolla conditions, with scattered particulate matter that slightly obscures the deepest pilings.

📊 Current Conditions

• Wind: 6.6 mph

• Swell: 1.6 ft @ 10 sec from NW

• Tide: Low, rising

• Water Temp: 67.6°F

• Cloud Cover: 100% (overcast)

• Chlorophyll: 0.37 mg/m³

Conditions are fair to good. While cloud cover is complete, the moderate swell and light winds are helping maintain reasonable visibility. The elevated chlorophyll suggests some biological activity, but visibility extends well beyond the near pilings. The low tide and rising trend should help push clearer water in through the afternoon. Overall, conditions are diveable with acceptable visibility for most recreational dives.

Best dive window: Late morning to early afternoon as incoming tide brings cleaner water.

✅ Summary

• Estimated Visibility: 12–17 ft

• Dive Grade: C+

• Conditions: Fair-Good — moderate visibility, some particulate, diveable conditions
