Visibility is currently around 15–20 ft, based on the latest Scripps Pier camera image. The 4 ft pilings are clearly visible, the 11 ft pilings are sharp, and the 14 ft pilings are faint but discernible. There's good fish activity visible throughout the water column.

Conditions are solid this morning with calm winds and manageable swell. The overcast sky (100% cloud cover) is actually helping visibility by reducing surface glare. The SSW swell at 1.4 ft with a 9-second period is gentle and won't stir up much sediment. We're at high tide (4.9 ft) which just peaked — as the tide drops through the morning, visibility may improve slightly as water movement decreases.

If the clouds break and sunlight increases, surface glare could become an issue later. For now, today earns a solid B rating — good visibility with calm conditions, perfect for an extended dive session.

Best dive window: Now through early afternoon before any afternoon wind picks up.
